You haven’t really been to a farmers market until you’ve been to the Thibodaux Main Street Market. This market has all the fresh produce you could possibly want, plus so much more. It takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and you’ll find it right behind City Hall. Let’s look at what you can find if you go to the market.
The Food
It only costs $10 to rent booth space at the Thibodaux Main Street Market, so as you can imagine, you’ll find lots of vendors here. The vendors have a variety of edible items, ranging from fresh baked goodies to kettle corn. You can even find smoked brisket and other items. Then, of course, you have your standard fruits and vegetables that are typical at a farmers market. The vendors change from time to time, so you never know what you might get. That makes it well worth the trip every Saturday.
Non-edible Items
The market isn’t just about the food. You will also get to check out some non-edible items, such as crafts, soap, and candles. Various vendors set up shop, ready to sell their wares, so if you need a unique gift for someone, come on down. It’s amazing the types of things you will find.

The Community
OK, so you are mainly going to the Thibodaux Main Street Market to buy some items, but don’t discount the sense of community you’ll get here. It’s a great place to connect with other people in the community. You will meet vendors and shoppers and might make a few friends. The people here are always willing to stop for a chat, and it’s a great place to exchange recipes and ideas. If you want to become more involved in the community, stop by this weekend.
You can also get more involved in the community by stopping by Barker Buick GMC in Houma, Louisiana. Once you get a new set of wheels, you’ll be ready to travel all around Thibodaux, Houma, and beyond. You can attend more events and functions and hit up local attractions. Then, you will meet more people who are a part of the community. If that sounds like fun to you, come over today.
