Make Plans To Attend The Bayou Beer Fest

Bayou Beer Fest

If you live in Houma, you know that the best beer doesn’t necessarily come from a store. You’ve had some amazing brews in your buddy’s garage, and you know there are more delicious home brews out there. The only problem is, how do you find them? You can’t exactly go from garage to garage with a sampling cup, asking for a nice pour. Maybe you can’t do that, but you can get your fill of homebrews at the 6th Annual Bayou Beer Festival on Nov. 10 at the Southdown Plantation in Houma. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and tickets are $35. The admission price includes 40 sample tickets you can use to try homebrews as well as beers from local and international breweries. You’ll also get a sample cup.

Pick up your ticket to the 6th Annual Bayou Beer Fest today so you can attend this amazing event.

More than Beer

You’ll come for the beer, but don’t think that’s all you’ll get when you attend this festival. There’ll also be live music and tasty food.

The coolest extra has to be the 21-gun salute though. The proceeds from the festival will go to local veterans’ charities, and the 21-gun salute is another way to pay homage to the men and women who have served. Get there by 11 a.m., take your hat off, and honor the troops. Then, head over to the various breweries and fill your sample cup. It’s going to be a party. Don’t miss out on this year’s Bayou Beer Fest.

Talk Beer

Okay, it’s about more than beer, but you’re going to have beer on the mind when you’re here. You might as well talk beer with other beer enthusiasts. The organizers have picked out some of the best homebrewers in the area, so pick their brains and find out how they make that perfect lager or saison. This is a good time to talk to them before they hit the big time. You might not realize this, but some of Louisiana’s biggest craft brewers started out in their own garages. Maybe the next big thing will be at the festival.

You might need a designated driver after the Bayou Beer Fest. Sweeten the deal by letting the designated driver take your car to and from the event. Your buddies will jump at the chance if you have a new ride from Barker Buick GMC in Houma, Louisiana. After all, who doesn’t love driving a new Buick or GMC?
