National Nurses Week & Teacher Appreciation Week

National Nurses Week And Teacher Appreciation Week

We all have stories about how a nurse or a teacher stepped into our lives at a tough moment. These professionals are so valuable at some of the most difficult and formative times of our lives. So this week, we celebrate both groups with National Nurses Week and Teacher Appreciation Week. Check out some of the ways nearby businesses are celebrating nurses and teachers.

Teacher Appreciation Week

According to ABC 13, there are lots of places for teachers to get a deal this week. Make sure you call your closest location to confirm that they’re participating.

Raising Cane’s is celebrating teachers on May 7th. Swing by between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to receive a free box combo when you show your current school ID.

If you’re feeling more like a burrito, head to Chipotle. From 3 p.m. until close on Tuesday, May 7th, teachers, faculty, and staff can buy one entrée and get one free when they show their school ID.

Or enjoy a free Route 44 drink or slush with your purchase at the Sonic Drive-In. Use the code TEACHERS when you order on the restaurant’s app.

For a sweet treat, go to Cinnabon. Nurses can get a free Cinnabon Classic Roll, MiniBon Roll or a four-count of BonBites from May 6 through May 12.

Or if you’re going for a whole meal, head to Texas de Brazil. Nurses can take advantage of a 20% discount any time, as can service members, EMS, and teachers.

At Barker Buick GMC, we appreciate the people who make it their job to give back to our community. We love being a part of Houma and hope you’ll stop by to see us next time your vehicle needs service or it’s time to upgrade to a new set of wheels.
