The completely redesigned 2021 Yukon borrows mechanical elements from the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, but comes with unique styling and features which are far superior to all competition in its class. Power and Performance
Three engines are available, consisting of two gasoline V-8s and a turbo-diesel inline-six, which are all paired to a 10-speed automatic that harnesses GMC’s fast action gear selector. As with the previous-generation Yukon, two V-8 engines pump out 355 horsepower from a 5.3-liter and 420 horsepower from a 6.2-liter.
Furthermore, GMC will also offer a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-6 engine that produces 460 lb-ft of torque which is perfect for towing. All models feature a 10-speed automatic transmission operated by a pushbutton panel on the dashboard, as well as either all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The AT4 model, which will debut in 2021, features a two-speed transfer case, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and an optional air suspension that offers up to two more inches of ground clearance.
Interior
The 2021 Yukon has more cabin space and better equipment than last year’s model, along with more cargo space which is perfect for family vacations, daily commutes, and hunting trips.
This model is available in four trims: the base SLE, mid-range SLT, the rugged AT4, and the luxurious Denali. The Yukon and Yukon XL provide seating for eight passengers, although ordering it with the captain’s chairs limits the total seating capacity to seven. The Denali model comes with a wood-trimmed dashboard and hand-stitched leather upholstery. An automatic sliding center console is optional in models SLT, AT4, and Denali and enables the driver to adjust the center console back and forth over a 10-inch track.
