The organization offers services for free to cerebral palsy clients. This organization is led by a board of directors who work voluntarily. As a whole unit, the team extends to a network of staff workers, parents, worldwide volunteers, and the clients. Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana Bayou Region aims to achieve its objective of raising funds. The funds raised are channeled to helping offer services to people living with Cerebral Palsy in Louisiana.

The Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana Bayou Region Telethon

Cerebral Palsy is considered to be one of the most prevalent lifelong disorders in the United States. Therefore, Cerebral Palsy Louisiana has organized a telethon to help do their part. The telethon will broadcasts live from the Houma Civic Center on Saturday, August 5th from Noon – 10:00 PM and again on Sunday, August 6th from Noon – 6:00 PM. This telethon will help raise funds that will go towards offering health services to people with Cerebral Palsy in Louisiana.

How to Participate in the Telethon

To participate, you can attend the live event at the Houma Civic Center. You can also tune in to the broadcast and call in to make your donation. Every little bit helps! The telecast will air on Charter Communications channel 198 for subscribers in Lafourche, Assumption, St. James, and Terrebonne Parish, LA. Watch Allen’s Communications channel 68 for residents in east St. Mary, Assumption and St. Martin Parish. You can also watch the telethon at www.CerebralPalsyLa.com 

Why You Should Consider Participating

The funds that are raised in the telethon will be used to facilitate the services that are provided when managing Cerebral Palsy in a patient. The organization provides the programs which help in managing Cerebral Palsy. Many medical professionals are involved. A lot of medical equipment is also supplied to the clients. Participating in the event will help raise funds. While Cerebral Palsy is not “curable,” this lifelong disorder can become less straining on those who are suffering with it and their caregivers if more funds and help is available to them. The Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana Organization offers services for therapy, braces, electric wheel chairs and manual wheelchairs, and strollers.
