History of the Cajun Rollergirls

The Cajun Rollergirls held their first scrimmage in August 2008 at a skating rink in nearby Schriever. The Cajun Rollergirls were initially part of a blend of competitive teams that included the Big Easy Roller Girls and the Austin Hustlers.

One year later in 2009, the Cajun Rollergirls established officers for the team/organization and were invited to participate in the San Fermin Nueva Orleans, a Gulf Coast derby tradition. Also that year in November, the Cajun Rollergirls held their first large venue game at the Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium in Thibodaux.

After experiencing the ups and downs of any fledgling organization during the next years, the Cajun Roller Girls established Aggie’s Skate Connection in Houma as their “home field.”  You can help support the Roller Girls with your attendance at their games. It’s a fun and family-friendly activity right here in the Houma, LA area!
