At the Museum
When you visit the museum with your family, you’ll find The Wetlands Wall as well as permanent exhibits. The Wetlands Wall is a favorite among visitors, offering a 46-ft curving mural showing the eco-line of Terrebonne Parish. Designed by Robert Dafford, the life-size portraits of plants, swamps, marshes, and more is truly a sight to see.
As far as the permanent exhibits are concerned, these highlight social, economic, and natural history of the Terrebonne Parish. Some of the things you get to see include:

You’ll find the Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum located in historic Downtown Houma. You can visit from Tuesday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The price of admission to the museum is as follows:
- Ages 2-11: $2.00
- Ages 12 and Older: $3.00
- Senior Citizens: $2.50
In addition to this, there are also group rate options:
- Groups of 15 or more: $1.00
- Children plus one teacher: $1.00
- Additional chaperones: $2.50
