They refer pets to specialists when needed instead of trying to handle things themselves at the risk of your pet. Pets are seen at Bayou Cane Veterinary Hospital by appointment only. Of course, they perform basic wellness checks, vaccinations, testing, and flea and tick control services, but they also have onsite diagnostics, advanced digital x-rays, surgeries, and laser therapy.

The team at Bayou Cane was selected specifically for kindness and professionalism. They provide all pet owners with open communication to ensure they are aware of each step of their pet’s visit. Receptionists, Tina and Cara, welcome every visitor with a smile. They will gladly help you make appointments and deliver messages to the vets. Veterinary assistants Amber, Alivia, Anita, and Madison, take care of your pet from the moment they walk in the exam room until they leave with you. They feed, walk, and play with your pet, so they feel more at home. They will also answer any questions you have about your pet’s visit. Dr. Melinda Knight has been treating each of her patients with expert care since 1988.

Bayou Cane Veterinary Hospital is located at 667 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA 70360. They open each morning at 8:00 a.m. The office closes at 5:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
