Ladies’ Night Out Gala
Thursday, September 28, the Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center will host its much-anticipated Ladies’ Night Out Gala. The event will run from 6:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m. and take place at the Houma Terrebonne Civic Center. Enjoy an evening of delicious cuisine, a silent auction, Forks & Corks catering, and surprise attractions. The highlight of the night will be a fashion show featuring some of the center’s very own patients and cancer survivors. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online up until the date of the event. General admission is $50, with two premium packages also available. A reserved table of eight is $400, so you don’t have to worry about getting a seat with your friends. For a truly high-end experience, opt for the VIP table of eight package: complimentary wine and champagne at your table, premium seating near the stage, early access to the event, a personal bartender, and a swag bag for each attendee. If you can’t make the event but would still like to contribute to this noble cause, donations are accepted online at the ticket portal. Attire is casual cocktail.
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center
The best nights out are the ones that help others. This gala doesn’t just lift the spirits of the patients that it celebrates, it also raises money to go toward the treatment of cancer and the care of those affected. The Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is Louisiana’s premier cancer care center and treats more patients each year than any other facility in the region. The center, originally known as the Cancer Radiation and Research Foundation, has been in operation since the late 1960s. It has remained a community-supported project since its inception. In 2014, the center earned the Douglas Manship Sr. Torch Award for Ethics in Business. The Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center also received a $5.6 million award from the National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).
