Summer is on its way! I’m sure your summer schedule is jam packed full of fun things to do and places to go. Many people are so ready to pack away winter that they forget their cars need to be adjusted for summer too. If you plan on using your vehicle often this summer, there is a summer survival kit you should have in your car to make it through.

Water and Sunscreen

With the temperature outside heating up, it’s always in your best interest to have a full water bottle or two in your car. Keep bottled water on hand in case you get stuck in the mud while you’re off-roading or in any scenario. That way, you never have to worry about being dehydrated. A reusable water bottle is even better for the environment. The sun is a great friend, but that is only if you have sunscreen. As much as we all love the sun, sunburn is a negative effect when you don’t protect yourself from its powerful rays. If you venture out for the day like many people do in the summer, make sure you keep a bottle or two of sunscreen in a cool place in your vehicle.

Sunglasses

You know the drill! Even your eyes need protection from the sun’s brightness. Squinting for long periods of time can strain your eyes and become dangerous, especially when driving. Who wants to squint all day anyway? A great tip to remember is to keep two pairs of sunglasses in your car. That way, you have one pair for when you’re out and about and the other pair for when you’re driving.

Phone Charger

You may already have this item in your car, but just in case you forget, grab a phone charger and put it in your car. If your car breaks down or you just need to call for help, you don’t want to have a dead phone battery.
